Collaborations
The Collaborations feature allows you to create paid partnerships proposals to share with brands on our platform, receive invitations to paid partnerships with brands, and manage negotiations, deliverables, and campaign performance all in one place.
All collaborations start as proposals that are either proposed by you or sent to you by a brand. The parties coordinate the details of price, deliverables, and deadlines over chat. The initiating party edits the proposal until the receiving party approves the collaboration.
Once you agree on the terms, proposals become live collaborations where you submit approvals and post the progress of the completion of the collaboration. You can also track the progress of the links used for the collaboration, as well as upload your own content related to the campaign.
Once completed, you’re paid through ShopMy in the same way you’re paid for commissions on the Earnings tab under Collaborations. There, you can view key details, including the date the collaboration was marked as complete, as well as the payment status.
Noting, only Trendsetters and Icons are able to submit collaboration proposals. Enthusiasts and Ambassadors can still receive and accept collaboration invitations from brands, but they are not able to create or send their own proposals.
Paid Collaborations
Create your Collaborations profile:
You can find all your collaborations in the top right-hand corner of your shop, as well as on your ShopMy storefront when logged in, where it is only visible to you as the creator.
Start adding different collaboration types such as Instagram feed posts, Instagram stories, blog posts, TikTok content, and more. There is a wide umbrella for each platform that has many offerings within (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Podcast, etc.).
For example, within the Instagram bucket there are Instagram Feed Posts, IGTVs, Reels and more. Within the TikTok bucket there are 15s videos, 30s videos and more. Be sure to list all of the types of offerings you’re open to as this is how brands will discover you.
Each content channel allows you to add a description to provide more context about what you're open to. For example, if you run a weekly content series and are open to brand sponsorships, you can mention that in the description above your content types and pricing details.
To delete a collaboration group or specific offering, click the “Edit My Collaborations” button at the bottom of your collaborations tab. From there, you can click the “x” in the top right corner of the platform thumbnail or next to a specific offering within that platform to remove it.
If you’d like to offer a collaboration type that doesn’t fit into one of the main types (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Podcast, Blog/Newsletter), you can use the General Content option. This is useful if you want to let brands know you're open to creating content for their social channels.
To switch the theme of the thumbnails (from color to black and white for example, tap the switch icon. To upload your own custom thumbnail, tap the upload icon.
After adding the types of collaborations you’re open to, we suggest setting some baseline prices for your paid collaborations. To do this tap “set price” next to the offering. A box will appear where you can enter your prices. In some cases we’ve provided some price guidance based on follower count. Please note that ranges are simply a guideline and don’t account for additional factors such as audience engagement or expertise.
Create a proposal:
To search for brand partners on our platform and make collaboration proposals to them go to collaborations in the top right-hand corner once logged into your ShopMy. Search brands by name or scroll to see our partners. When you’ve found the brand that you want to make a proposal to, click “Propose Collaboration.”

The default title of the proposal will be “Collaboration between YOUR NAME and BRAND NAME.” To edit this, just hover over the title and write in your preferred title. It is always best to be as specific as possible; for example, “Brand Name x Your Name - Fall 2025.”
Include an overview of what you’d like the collaboration to include, suggested deliverables, and prices.
The Collaboration Overview section of your proposal should include the following:
- A brief introduction of yourself, including why you're interested in collaborating with this brand.
- Why you and your audience are a great fit for this collaboration. Highlight any relevant expertise, credentials, or performance metrics (such as conversion rates) to support your case.
- A concise summary of the deliverables you envision for the partnership, outlining what you will create or provide.
- An overview of the timeline, specifying whether the collaboration is something you're open to over the next few months or if it's time-sensitive. Be sure to include any relevant timing details.
After writing the overview, you’ll add deliverables and set proposed rates for those deliverables. If you’ve configured your default prices for specific content types, they’ll be automatically populated there, but they can be edited. Just hover over the title or price to edit and adjust.

The schedule section of your proposal is optional. Here, you can set dates for content to go live, allowing you to align on rate pricing with the brand and make edits to the proposal as needed.
Review your proposal and be sure to tap Submit Collaboration Request to notify the brand of your proposal. The brand will not receive your proposal unless it has been successfully submitted.
The brand will either accept your proposal, dismiss your proposal, or chat with you to make adjustments. Only the initiating party can make edits to a proposal, so if a brand wants to adjust a proposal you submitted, you’ll have to edit the proposal and resubmit it.
Accept or Dismiss a Proposal:
If you receive a collaboration request from a brand, you’ll get a mobile notification and an email with the proposal. Emails will come from team@shopmyshelf.us with a link to review the proposal.

Please make sure to review these requests in a timely fashion, especially if you are interested in pursuing them.
If the brand is not one that you’d be interested in collaborating with at this time, click Dismiss Request. If you’re aligned with the proposal and rate, click Accept Collaboration Request. If you’d like to negotiate on the specifics, click Chat with Brand and explain how you think the proposal should be adjusted. The brand will be able to adjust the proposal and resubmit for final approval once you are aligned.
Complete Collaboration:
Once the proposal is approved, it becomes a live collaboration. During this phase, you will share content and captions for approval and provide links to track the content after posting. The brand will approve the content and manage the trackable links for sharing.
Gifting
As you use ShopMy, you may be offered gifted products from our brand partners through the form of Lookbooks. Occasionally, you’ll receive a mobile and email notification when a brand would like to send you a product, and you'll be prompted to visit your dashboard to accept or decline the offer.
When you accept your first gifting request, you’ll be asked to provide your best mailing address for the brand to send the product. We recommend saving this address in your Account Settings to avoid entering it each time.
If you’re not interested in receiving a product from a brand at this time, we encourage you to click the "X" to dismiss the offer. This will not notify the brand that you’re declining; it will just simply remove your name from the list for that specific gifting campaign. It doesn’t mean you won’t receive future gifting requests from the brand for different products.
Accepting gifting requests through ShopMy doesn’t obligate you to post. All brands offering gifts through our platform are also affiliate partners with products in our catalog, so if you like the gifted product, we encourage you to explore their affiliate program.
Discount Codes
ShopMy brand partners can provide you with personalized discount codes for your audience to use when purchasing from that retailer. These codes not only help you reach a wider audience, but also give your followers a chance to save money, encouraging them to shop with that brand.
The best part is that all orders using your discount code are tracked 100%, so you will earn on all orders even when an affiliate link is not used. Offering a discount code can significantly boost your earning potential and we encourage you to request a discount code through the chat feature!
